When it comes down to it, very little stands in the way of your family and their overall safety. I started thinking about different ways to create a safer environment for my family, and it all started with investing in a great new security system. I purchased a system that I felt really good about, and after it was installed, I was amazed with how well it worked. I wanted to make a little website all about creating a safe, comfortable environment for your family members. Check out this blog to learn how to create more security for you and your family members.
Is your business bringing in more and more employees all of whom need an easy way to get in and out of your building? Is your business creating newly restricted areas in order to protect proprietary or sensitive information like products that are still in development? These are both scenarios where you might stand to benefit from the installation of a card access control system. Here's why you should reach out to a provider or installer of card access control systems.
Trace Everything
Once your card access system is set up, you will be able to keep track of who is entering the building at all times. You'll also be able to see the exact times that an employee's access card was swiped or scanned. This can help you with employee attendance issues for starters, but it could also help you with figuring out what happened if a security breach should occur. You'll be able to see where each employee was in the building, assuming there is a scanner in place to protect sensitive areas.
Flexible Access
When you have an access control system set up, you can also change permissions or privileges on the fly. Perhaps someone is in training to be a manager and needs temporary access to manager-level building permissions while they are starting training. If the trainee doesn't pass the program or only needs these permissions on certain days of the week, you can set up their access control card to only allow that extra permission on certain dates or times of the day.
No More Physical Keys or Mechanical Issues
When your building works on a traditional physical key system, this is setting you up for a headache as time goes on. Employees may lose keys and require a re-keying of a lock in the building. Physical locks that need a key to open can also run into mechanical issues over time. These are all things that become a distant memory once your card access system is properly installed and in operation.
Comprehensive Integration
When you set up a card access control system, you can easily integrate it with any other systems your company has installed for security purposes. For example, your access control system might work hand-in-hand with your security cameras or with your company's motion controls. A security camera can turn on automatically every time a card or badge is swiped. If it's clear that someone has entered the building or motion is otherwise detected without a badge being scanned, an intruder alert can be sent to your security team.
