When it comes down to it, very little stands in the way of your family and their overall safety. I started thinking about different ways to create a safer environment for my family, and it all started with investing in a great new security system. I purchased a system that I felt really good about, and after it was installed, I was amazed with how well it worked. I wanted to make a little website all about creating a safe, comfortable environment for your family members. Check out this blog to learn how to create more security for you and your family members.
Security services do not typically include guard dogs. Instead, you can get a wide variety of alarms, communications signals and devices, and protective locks of various kinds. However, another type of security service hires both dogs and humans for security. While you may not need the services of human security guards (unless you live in a mansion), you may want some guard dogs. Here is how guard dogs can amp up the security measures you already have in place.
Before Going to Bed or Late in the Evening, Turn the Dogs Out
As long as you have a really high fence and a means for the dogs to come back inside (e.g. a doggy door), then you can turn the dogs out at night into the yard and let them run loose. Any intruder or trespasser trying to climb the fence into your yard at night would think twice when he/she comes face-to-face with your squad of guard dogs. The barking alone would be enough to deter anyone from trying.
Guard Dogs Are Trained to Bark up a Storm
Yes, you can set the alarm system when you leave home. However, if you forget to set the alarm, or the intruder decides to try to enter your home anyway, your guard dogs will bark up a storm. If the sound of barking dogs does not deter the intruder, your guard dogs will do a good job in detaining any intruder until the police arrive.
If the intruder still manages to get away, the dogs may have DNA evidence or a shred of clothing the intruder wore. That evidence can help the police find and arrest the intruder. Guard dogs are specifically trained to accomplish this kind of work in this way.
Keep the Dogs in with an Invisible Fence Inside the Standard Fence
To make sure your guard dogs stay in the yard, you can install an invisible dog fence. The invisible fence tells the dogs via the shock collars that they have their limits, but the dogs are still free to do their job if anyone comes into the yard without you calling them off. No one can claim that they were attacked by your guard dogs if and when you need to prove that the claimant was in your yard when they should not have been, and your dogs cannot leave the yard because of the two fences.
